Hoboken Resident Arrested After Alleged Robbery in Pizza Place

According to police reports.

Those weren't leaves of basil the police took from a customer of a Hoboken pizzeria on Sunday.

A 33-year-old Hoboken resident was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday after allegedly robbing a woman at Lorenzo's Pizzeria and for the posession of less than five grams of marijuana, according to police reports. Mark Synclair was also charged with unlawful posession of a weapon.

The owner of the pizzeria, a 44-year-old Lyndhurst resident, told police that a man had come into his store and brandished a woman with a knife in the restaurant and asker her for her money, according to reports.

The restaurant owner pointed police in the direction of Chen's Kitchen, where Synclair was eating, according to reports. According to the police report on the matter, officers found Synclair there.

Upon searching the man, police also found a bag of marijuana, according to reports.

The victim, a 59-year-old Hoboken resident, refused medical care, according to police.
