We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "Speeding cars and cars disregarding stop signs or pedestrians on crosswalks."
- "Cars not stopping at stop signs and cars stopping where there are no stop signs."
- "People on bikes who don't look when they cross a street and then get mad at you when you almost hit them, and people texting while walking!"
- "Pedestrian safety. Cars travel well over the posted speed limit, "rolling stops" at stop signs, and failing to look both ways at stop signs."
- "Bicyclists on sidewalks, or going wrong way on a one way street."
- "Speeding cars are out of control! Hoboken is a walking town!"
- "Not enough cops patrolling by the river! Too many bodies turn up with no explanation."
- "Bicyclists not following the rules of the road."
