Hoboken to Swear in New Fire Fighters, Promote Police Officers in Public Ceremonies

Two fire fighters will be sworn in, three police officers will be promoted, and retiring officers will be commended at special ceremonies.

The City of Hoboken will swear in new fire fighters, promote three Hoboken police fighters, and recognize retiring officers next week in two special public ceremonies.

Police Officers William Montanez, William Vera, and Cesar Olavarria will be promoted to the rank of sergeant, and retiring members of the department will be recognized for their service on Tuesday, Nov. 25. This ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, located at 94 Washington Street.

Eugene B. Turonis and Domenico Camporeale will be sworn in as Hoboken fire fighters on Nov. 26. That ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on in the City Council chambers of City Hall.
