Hoboken's Fireworks Get Tongues (But Certainly Not Tails) Wagging Along The River

The city of Hoboken and local media posted information about the Italian Festival fireworks, but New Yorkers were apparently alarmed.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The 98th Hoboken Italian Festival concluded with a fireworks display on the Hudson River on Sunday night, and as usual, New Yorkers were caught by surprise.

"Glad I got to learn how I would react to the world ending because of those dang Hoboken fireworks," wrote one commenter.

"Not sure why," posted a 1010 WINS reporter. "Fireworks outside the house on the Hudson River tonight. Coming from Hoboken. Did I miss a memo?"
