Hospital Authority Likely To Reach Agreement

Hoboken Municipal Hospital Authority will likely vote on a contract with the final bidder to sell the hospital

Although negotations weren't finished as of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Hoboken Municipal Hospital Authority Chairwoman Toni Tomarazzo anticipated an agreement on Wednesday night between the Authority and , the last remaining bidder to try and buy the hospital.

"I wish I could tell you for sure," Authority Chairwoman Toni Tomarazzo said in a phone conversation. But she added, that it's likely that the board will vote on an agreement Wednesday night.

"Our intention is to reach agreement with the buyer," Tomarazzo said.

The authority with HUMC Holdco last week.

Negotations have been ongoing and have not yet been made public. Tomarazzo said that there would be a presentation of the contract during the meeting on Wednesday night.
