Hospital CEO Spiros Hatiras Resigns
Hoboken Hospital Municipal Authority Chairwoman Toni Tomarazzo confirmed that he's leaving as part of a "mutual agreement."

Hoboken University Medical Center CEO Spiros Hatiras has resigned from his post, according to Hoboken Municipal Hospital Authority Chairwoman Toni Tomarazzo.
"This is mutually agreed upon exit," said Tomarazzo. She said she doesn't know what Hatiras' next move will be, but that he has chosen pursue other professional endeavors.
Hatiras has worked for HUMC for roughly 20 years and has been CEO of the hospital for the last two.

Throughout the long process of negotiations and picking a buyer for the hospital—most of which was discussed in closed HMHA meetings—Hatiras said that he would like to stay on as the hospital's CEO.
Tomarazzo said she didn't know why Hatiras chose to leave at this time.

Former acting CFO Vincent Riccitelli will serve as acting CEO until the take over of the hospital is completed, Tomarazzo said.
