
Hoboken police arrested 61-year-old Donald Styles from Jersey City on Friday afternoon for allegedly stabbing a panhandler in front of CVS on Washington Street, according to police reports.
Styles was charged with aggravated assualt, police said.
Around 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Styles and the victim—a 49-year-old Hobokenite—got involved in a verbal altercation when Styles allegedly told the victim to leave the spot in front of CVS, according to reports.

When police arrived, they met the victim inside the store, bleeding, according to reports. Officers asked him if he was injured, when the victim answered: "Yes, I was stabbed by Donald."
The victim told police that when panhandling outside CVS, Styles allegedly asked him to leave, police said. Styles allegedly told the victim he'd stab him if he didn't leave, according to police reports.

When police apprehended Styles they found a serrated kitchen knife in his pocket, police said.
The victim was transferred to the Jersey City Medical Center for further medical care, police said. He had a deep laceration in the area of his ribs, according to the police report.
