
In the movies, most burglaries happen in the night time, when it's dark. In reality, residential burglaries happen during the day time, when you're at work.
As was the case on Tuesday night when three roommates who occupy an apartment on Court Street, found their place burglarized, police said.
Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday night, a 27-year-old resident came home to find her front door open, according to the police report. At first, police said, she thought one of her two roommates was home, but upon entering her bedroom she found out her apartment had been broken into.

Two laptops (one worth $1,500 and another worth $650) were stolen, according to the police report, as well as a coin jug with $300 in it, two gold rings and a softball glove.
No arrests were made.
