Fort Lee Man Caught With Knife In Hoboken Building For Second Time In One Month: Police
An alleged burglar was caught with a knife in a downtown Hoboken building for the second time in one month.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Fort Lee man was arrested for burglary the second time in one month on the same downtown Hoboken block, according to police reports.
On Aug. 27, police say, Officers Arebalo and Frank Lombardo were performing a "sweep of a commercial building on the 50 block of River Street, due to the building being the target of several burglaries in recent weeks."
On the fifth floor, they heard voices and found Sangmin Kim, 32, of Fort Lee.

He was "carrying the same backpack he was seen carrying in surveillance footage from a burglary incident the day before," police said.
Kim had already been arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 7 for allegedly threatening employees at 80 River St. with a knife, and for burglary.

This time, police said, they found a 10-inch knife, burglary tools including a lock pick set, a key pin, multiple keys, a credit card that did not belong to him that was dented on one side, an iPhone, and a hoodie.
He was arrested and charged with trespassing and taken to Hoboken Police Headquarters, police said. Then, he was processed on charges in connection with similar offenses on Aug. 18 and Aug. 23.
These included burglary, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, possession of burglary, possession of burglary tools, unlawful possession of a weapon, and theft.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, like last time.
