Man Struck in Face with Pint Glass By Man in Gladiator Costume

A man in a gladiator costume allegedly struck a 25-year-old from Hoboken in his face with a pint glass on Saturday around 2 a.m., according to police reports.

The victim had a laceration on the left side of his face, police said. The incident began inside Marty O'Brien's Social Club on First and Bloomfield Streets, according to police, and turned physical.

Police said Halloween weekend was relatively quiet, because of Saturday night's snow storm, preventing many out-of-towners from taking their car to Hoboken.

Two witnesses to the incident on Saturday morning said that the actor was dressed up as a gladiator, but couldn't provide a more detailed description of the man, police said.

No arrests were made.
