Nurses Union and New Hospital Owner Reach Agreement

As announced by the Hoboken University Medical Center on Tuesday.

The new owners of the Hoboken University Medical Center and the hospital's nurses union, JNESO, have reached a collective bargaining agreement, according to an announcement from the hospital on Tuesday.

With the agreement between new owner HUMC Holdco LLC and JNESO, HUMC has finalized collective bargaining agreements with all three of its unions: JNESO District Council 1, IUOE/AFL-CIO; Committee of Interns and Residents, Service Employees International Union; and District 1199J National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, according to the announcement.

“We value all of the employees at Hoboken University Medical Center and are looking forward to working with the members of all of the hospital’s bargaining units to provide high quality patient care,” the hospital's new CEO Phillip Schaengold said in the statement. 

, As of Tuesday a spokeswoman for the hospital declined to give any more details about the agreement.
