Parks Renovation Supposed To Start Soon
Council expected to approve a contract at next meeting.

Multiple firms have expressed their interest in renovating a few of Hoboken's parks. Several bids have come in last week, according to the mayor's office.
The project will include new playground equipment and safety surfacing at Jackson Street Park, Jefferson Park and Legion Park.
The city anticipates that a bid will be awarded during the council meeting on Oct. 5. Five votes are necessary to pass a resolution.

Construction is scheduled to begin shortly after the contract is awarded. According to Mayor Dawn Zimmer in a press release, the project should be ready by the end of the year.
