Faubourg, which also has a location in Montclair, opened on the Hudson County waterfront Thursday.
WEEHAWKEN, NJ — A trio of Essex County moms showed up for a sneak preview of Faubourg — a new French restaurant steps from the Weehawken waterfront — last Thursday night, saying they were invited because they were regulars at the original Montclair location. It was a testament to the loyal following that the flagship location that these busy moms were willing to trek to Hudson County on a weeknight, and trek they did.
Faubourg was set to open to the public this Thursday, Aug. 22, featuring unique cocktails, small plates, meals, and desserts with a French flair.
The location opened at a growing waterfront neighborhood in upper Weehawken, near the West New York border, with two hotels and several new developments and restaurants. They're also located near a Port Imperial ferry stop.

At Thursday night's preview, the wait staff served up appetizers from tuna tartare with lime, wrapped in a cucumber, to chickpea panisse. Drink specials included a white cranberry martini and a dirty pineapple margarita.
They are still finalizing the menus, but a link is below, as well as an image of the dessert menu. See more photos from the event above.
