Popular Jersey City Restaurant Amelia's Bistro Closes
Amelia's Bistro, a popular restaurant in Jersey City, has closed after 20 years, citing "economic hardships."
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A popular restaurant in the Paulus Hook section of Jersey City closed for good on Tuesday, the owners said that night.
In a social media post, the owners of Amelia's Bistro wrote, "It is with the heaviest and saddest hearts that we have to close our doors today...Unfortunately, we have been faced with the most difficult economic hardships."
Fans reacted with disappointment Tuesday night.

"From going to family dinners and parties as a little girl to my first hostess job, I have so many beautiful memories at Amelia’s," wrote one woman.
"You were my first ever restaurant experience and one of my go to favorites ever since moving to Paulus Hook back in 2007," wrote another.
