Rat Education Forum In Hoboken Postponed

Oh, rats. A forum on dealing with rodents in Hoboken, scheduled for Monday, will be rescheduled.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A "Rat Control and Mitigation Education Session" scheduled in Hoboken for Monday night has been postponed.

The session was scheduled for Monday, Aug. 26 at the Multi-Service Center.

Hoboken's rat problem ramped up after the covid pandemic, particularly in certain areas of town. One councilwoman even created a "rat map."

The city took several steps to mitigate the infestations, including adding new laws on how residents put out the trash.

The city said, "A new date will be announced in the near future. Those who pre-registered for the event will be notified by the Hoboken Health Division."
