Reports: NFL Player Kenny Britt Arrested in Hoboken

The Hudson County native allegedly resisted arrest and allegedly tampered with evidence.

Tennessee Titans player Kenny Britt was arrested at 15th and Willow Streets on Wednesday night by Hoboken narcotics officers after allegedly resisting arrest and tampering with evidence, the Jersey Journal reported on Thursday morning.

The arrest comes a day after the wide receiver admitted to careless driving in his hometown of Bayonne, according to the newspaper.

The Journal reported that police said that Britt used his body "to push away from the officers" and allegedly refused to let the cops hand cuff him.

The football star "allegedly crushed a cigar containing marijuana in order to hide it from police before he was collared last night, according to court documents," the Jersey Journal reported. The paper quoted the complaint, which stated that Britt "did purposely prevent or attempt to prevent a public servant from lawfully performing an official function by means of force or violence, specifically by refusing to open your hand when ordered to do so then pulling your hand away."
