School Board Introduces New Breakfast Program
Meal will be served every day and is available to all students.

The approved a new breakfast program that will offer a free meal in the morning—before classes—that will be available for all students.
The district's Business Administrator Robert Davis said that new program will not interfere with class time and is funded by state and federal subsidies. It's scheduled to start on Nov. 1.
All students in Hoboken's schools are eligible for the breakfast, not just the ones who receive free and reduced lunch. The breakfast will be served 20 minutes before classes start.

The funds that the district will receive for the program are more than it costs to produce the breakfast, Davis said, calling it a "win-win for everybody."
The program is part of a larger initiative to get school aged children to eat breakfast and lunch, Davis said.
