SWAT Team Arrests Assault Suspect In Hoboken Apartment; Streets Closed
A man assaulted a victim in Hoboken on Wednesday and then barricaded himself in an apartment, drawing the SWAT Team, police said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A SWAT team was called to handle the suspect in an assault in Hoboken that barricaded himself in an apartment Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Police said that earlier in the day, a man assaulted someone near Third and Adams streets, causing minor injures to the victim.
"After the assault took place," police said, "the suspect barricaded himself in an apartment on the 200 block of Adams Street."

Police closed the block to traffic while other law enforcement agencies, including the Hudson County Regional SWAT Team, came to help.
The man was arrested just before 3:30 p.m., police said.

"As of now, Second to Third on Adams Street will remain closed as our officers break off from the scene," the police said in a statement.
