Thousands Expected for Hoboken's July 4th Festival

Mayor urges everybody to take public transportation to Hoboken.

The city of Hoboken is expecting thousands of visitors this July 4th, to——enjoy the Mile Square's view of the Macy's fireworks and visit Hoboken's annual festival in honor of Independence Day.

But, due to multiple road closures and construction in town as well as to avoid a bottleneck situation when everybody leaves town, Mayor Dawn Zimmer is urging all visitors to take public transportation to town.

Due to safety concerns, Pier C Park—which opened fully for the first time right before Memorial Day weekend—will be closed, according to the city.
