Two Alarm Fire on Garden Street Displaces Four in Hoboken
Four residents at 843 Garden Street are still displaced after a fire Monday morning. Neighboring apartments were also affected by the fire.

Four residents of a Hoboken apartment building on Garden Street have been cast out of their home after a two-alarm fire on Monday morning.
The fire department evacuated the four individuals at 843 Garden Street, along with those living at the adjoining apartments at 2:27 a.m. on Monday morning, according to the Hudson Reporter.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, although Hoboken Fire Chief Richard Blohm did confirm to the Hudson Reporter that the fire began in a bathroom on the third floor of 843 Garden Street.

Firemen at the scene had to force their way through the neighboring apartments and cut a whole for ventilation at 841 Garden Street, which sustained minimal damage, NJ.com stated.
Neighboring residents were eventually able to return to their homes, while the four residents at 843 Garden Street are still displaced, NJ.com reported. Fire officials noted that authorities offered to connect the victims with the Red Cross, but the four opted to stay with friends or family.

“22 personnel responded to the fire, and mutual aid personnel from other municipalities manned Hoboken Fire station,” Fire Chief Blohm told the Hudson Reporter.
No one was injured and fire officials left the scene within three hours of arriving at Garden Street.
