Two Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated
According to police reports, two people were arrested in two separate incidents.

Two people were arrested in separate drunk driving incidents in Hoboken over the weekend, according to police reports.
On Saturday, Hoboken police arrested Stephen Hanyecz, from Neshanic Station, for driving while intoxicated around Third and Hudson Streets, according to reports. Police stopped the car, reports said, because strong odors eminated from the vehicle.
Hanyecz, 43, was carged with driving while under the influence, posession of narcotic paraphernalia and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, according to reports.

On Saturday, around 10 p.m., a 37-year-old West New York resident was arrested for assault by car when he hit another vehicle on downtown Jackson Street, according to reports.
William Kan, got out of the vehicle when police stopped him, and according to the police report his speech was allegedly slurred and he had trouble walking in a straight line.

Kan was arrested and charged with assault by auto and operating a car while under the influence. The victim in the other car, a 35-year-old from Lyndhurst, was taken to the Hoboken University Medical Center with neck pains, according to the police.
