Two Hoboken Eateries Named in Top 10 Restaurant Lists By Inside Jersey
Cucharamama made the top 10 power restaurants in NJ. Pilsener Haus was ranked as one of the top 10 places in the state to bring a date.

Cucharamama, a popular Hoboken eatery on Clinton Street, has been named one of the 10 most significant restaurants in the state by Inside Jersey magazine. The magazine also listed Pilsener Haus and Biergarten as one of the most date-worthy food destinations in NJ.
Two other Hudson county restaurant’s also made the magazine’s “power list” of significant restaurants. Jersey City eateries Maritime Parc and Thirty Acres were added to the list for setting trends in the world of culinary arts.
Inside New Jersey magazine ranked the top 30 Restaurants in three top 10 categories: power restaurants that are risk-takers in the culinary arts; romantic restaurants to take an old flame; and fun first-date restaurants. Hoboken eateries earned a place in the top 10 power restaurants and top 10 first date destinations in the state.

Cucharamama: A Power Player
One of Hoboken’s best Latin hot spots, Cucharamama, landed a top spot on this list for it’s unique flavors and innovative updates on traditional Spanish favorites. Cucharamama was founded by award-winning chef, Maricel Presilla. Presilla is also the owner of Zafra, a Cuban restaurant in Hoboken.

The groundbreaking chef is known for her South American dishes that are both authentic and artisanal. Last year, Presilla won the Cookbook of the Year award for “Gran Cocina Latina,” an expansive collection of Latin recipes. The accomplished culinary artist is also the founder of the International Chocolate Awards.
Pilsener Haus & Biergarten: A First Date Destination
Looking for the perfect place in the Mile Square to bring a first date? Inside Jersey magazine lauds Pilsener Haus & Biergarten, located at Grand and 15th Streets, as a cozy spot for a new couple due to its communal tables and friendly atmosphere.
The Biergarten features more than 60 bubbly choices, from pale ales to crisp ciders. The pub’s head chef, Thomas Ferlesch, grew up in Vienna and has a decade of experience in New York City restaurants. His dishes are tasty, fun, and authentic, whether you’re looking for good old-fashioned comfort food or a soft, Bavarian pretzel built for two.
Honorable Mention
Bin 14 on Washington Street earned an honorable mention as the only wine bar in Hoboken.
