Two Jersey City Kids Followed by Men in Skimasks with Knives

According to police reports.

A 17-year-old Jersey City resident and his friend were chased by two men wearing skimasks and holding knives on Sunday, according to police reports.

The young man was sitting on the steps of 800 Jackson St. with a friend, when he saw two men approach, police said. The two men were wearing skimasks that hid their faces, but were dressed in mostly black, police said. One man was dressed in black completely, the other was wearing a black sweatshirt with white lining, according to the report.

According to the police report, one masked man handed a knife to the other as they kept walking in the direction of the two minors.

The minors ran away, in opposite directions, and the two masked men followed them, according to the police.

One 17-year-old was met by police at 11th and Garden Streets with the inside of his jacket ripped because of the knife, police said. The minor refused medical attention.
