According to police reports on the matter.

Two people working out at the downtown New York Sports Club were robbed of large chunks of cash, according to police reports.

A 25-year-old Hoboken man was allegedly robbed of $500 between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, police said. Before working out he bundled his belongings—keys, wallet containing $505 and his cellphone—and placed it in locker #99, according to the police report.

When he returned an hour later, after completing his work out, he found $500 missing, police said. The unknown person who took his cash left the keys and the cell phone as well as five $1 bills, according to the police report.

According to the police report, the men's locker room was being renovated, causing the victim to use the women's locker room locker.

Police said neither man locked the locker from which the money was stolen.

While there are no cameras in the dressing room, the sports club does have camera surveillance.

Nobody was arrested and it is unknown how many people were involved in the crime.
