Water Main Break Closes Road At Hoboken's Southern Entrance
"Roadwork is anticipated to continue into the morning commute and expected to impact traffic," said the city of Hoboken.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A portion of Observer Highway, the main thoroughfare along Hoboken's southern border with Jersey City, was closed on Thursday morning as workers repair a water main break.
The city sent a message around 6:30 a.m. encouraging drivers to enter and exit town via the city's northern entrances.
The city said, "Roadwork is anticipated to continue into the morning commute and expected to impact traffic, especially in southwest Hoboken.Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate northern routes when entering and exiting Hoboken until repairs are complete and the road is reopened."

Please be advised, Observer Highway is currently closed between Madison and Monroe Streets due to an overnight water main break. Veolia is on the scene and repairs are underway. The six-inch break has been isolated and the pipe has been replaced. Roadwork is anticipated to continue into the morning commute and expected to impact traffic, especially in southwest Hoboken.Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate northern routes when entering and exiting Hoboken until repairs are complete and the road is reopened.
