Live Music, Beach Walks, Games: This Weekend In Monmouth County

Looking for something new to do? There's plenty of things happening around Monmouth County this weekend.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — As the winter season continues, the cold weather has come with it.

Though temperatures have dropped, there’s still plenty of events (indoor and some outdoor, for those who are enjoying the snow) happening around Monmouth County for you to check out.

Mountain Jam Band
Starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, you can hear Mountain Jam Band (the Allman Brothers Band Tribute) at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park.

The event is a two-set show focusing on the early years representing the seminal ABB records. Those 21 and up will be admitted.

Sundown Sessions
For those looking for a relaxing night out this weekend, you can check out Bell Works’ Sundown Sessions on Saturday. From 5-8 p.m., guests can enjoy live music featuring DJ Robbie Woodside at Bar Bella.

Winter Beach Walk
From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, you can take a Park System Naturalist guided walk along the beach at Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area in Manasquan.

During the walk, you can collect and identify some of the ocean’s natural treasures. Attendees should dress in warm clothing and bring something to carry shells in.

Stone Pony Showcase
ULTRAVIOLET and EXIT 109 will co-headline the first Sunday Showcase of 2025 at the Stone Pony. The two are joined by some of NJ’s top new bands, including Scylla, Nine-O Pony and Gabe Rivera.

Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show is set to run from 1:15-7 p.m.

Parlor Games for Wintry Weather
If you’re in the mood for games this weekend, you can play two 1890s board games at Historic Longstreet Farm. In addition to Halma and Basilinda, the farm will also have old-time favorites like Backgammon, Checkers and Reversi.
