During the event, the park and club members will be looking to collect new dog toys and treats to benefit local shelters and rescues. Contributions can be dropped off in the dog park’s collection bin through Oct. 6, or at the bin at Holmdel High School/Middle School.
“There are many pet-related Halloween events out there, but we have the distinction of being the only one which includes a dog park for off-leash furry fun,” Lisa Ching said.
Ching is the mother of Alexander Ching, a late Holmdel resident who Alexander Ching Memorial Dog Park was named for in 2021.
There are no fees to participate in the costume contest and parade. Check-in for costume contestants begins at 2 p.m., and the parade is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
Costume contest winners will be announced at 3 p.m. In case of rain, the event will take place on Sunday.

The event will take place at 41 Middletown Road, Holmdel, at Bayonet Farm.
