Holmdel Native to be Seen on the Big Screen, Alleged Cemetery Thief Arrested

It's going to seem chilly today, only compared when to the last few weeks. Temperature will reach the high 70's with a chance of later afternoon and evening showers.
Yesterday, Patch let you know of some great news. Holmdel High School graduate Johnny Cannizzaro will play a supporting role in Clint Eastwood's film adaptation of "Jersey Boys." Exciting, right? The Cannizzaro family promises to keep Patch posted on his future success.
Last week, Hazlet Police announced they arrested Daniel Price, 26, of Port Monmouth on Friday afternoon after Price allegedly stole between 30 and 50 brass vases from the Shorelands Cemetery in Hazlet.
The Hazlet Township Committee will honor Detective Lt. Charles McBride at its meeting tonight. McBride retired in August.
The meeting begins at 8 p.m. in Town Hall. According to the meeting agenda, the committee is set to approve capital improvement projects including roadwork and parks improvements.
