Attempted Burglary, Police Pursuit Reported Friday In Holmdel

HOLMDEL, NJ — Authorities are investigating a home burglary reported Friday morning on Hayfield Court. Authorities said when they arrived at the house shortly before 1 a.m., they found a white BMW in the street and burglary suspects running to it from the house.

As a patrol car closed in on the vehicle, police said it drove across a neighboring lawn and fled at high speed. Patrols lost sight of the suspect vehicle, but later found it getting on the Garden State Parkway north, police said.

Before police arrived at the house, the homeowner saw three suspects get out of the BMW and walk up their driveway. It was determined the suspects tried to enter the house through a rear window.
