Hazlet $1M Cresci Blvd. Project To Be Topic Of Committee Hearing
On Feb. 13, the Township Committee will have a second reading of a funding ordinance for improvements to Cresci Boulevard.

HAZLET, NJ — Plans for a pavement project at Cresci Boulevard took another step forward with recent action by the Township Committee.
At its meeting Jan. 23, the committee introduced an ordinance providing an appropriation of $1,050,000 for improvements to Cresci Boulevard, and authorizing the issuance of $614,482 in bonds and/or notes of the township for financing part of the appropriations, according to the agenda.
A $400,000 state Department of Transportation grant will offset the total cost, the township said.

The project is part of an overall road improvement program underway in the township.
The township is taking a "neighborhood by neighborhood" approach, it says, with work being performed in phases and based on "seasonal variations, secured funding, grant requirements and successful project awards to the lowest responsible bidder."
