McKay, Corcoran-Clark Leading In Hazlet Township Committee Race

HAZLET, NJ — The polls have closed and all the districts have been reported in the Hazlet Township Committee and Board of Education races.

Republican incumbents James "Skip" McKay and Tara Corcoran-Clark are leading in the race against Democrats Carrie Virgilio and David Personette in the Township Committee race, according to the unofficial results.

Three seats are open for the Hazlet Township Board of Education and eight candidates are on the ballot: David Nathan Bibb, Dara Retig, George Theis, Jennifer Allgeier, Cindy Davis, Debra Wickenhauser, William J. Kolibas Jr. and Steven Grossman.

Some of the mail-in votes will still have to be counted and the Monmouth County Clerk will have to certify the results before they are official.

  • William J. Kolibas, Jr. - 1,775
  • Steven Grossman -1,838

There is also an unexpired seat for the Hazlet Township Board of Education, with only one candidate on the ballot:

  • David E. Asfour - 2,816
