Hazlet Man Charged With Child Porn Possession

The 28-year-old was charged with endangering the welfare of a child via the possession of child sexual abuse material, officials said.

HAZLET, NJ — A Hazlet man was arrested on July 14 after he was found to be in possession of child sexual abuse material, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced this week.

Brandon Nelson, 28, was charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child via the possession of child sexual abuse material.

His arrest was the result of a series of investigations led by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and the Monmouth County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The investigations yielded a total of 14 arrests.

If found guilty, Nelson faces up to five years in state prison. He would also be registered under Megan’s Law and assigned parole supervision for life.
