According to the NJ League of Municipalities website, induction into the Mayors’ Hall of Fame or the Elected Officials’ Hall of Fame “recognizes municipal officials who have selflessly guided their communities through the good times and troubled times with little recognition of their sacrifice.”
Their induction aims to be a “token of appreciation” that shines a light on pillars of the community and holds them up as an example of civic pride for citizens to emulate.
