Hazlet Pops Concert Schedule Set

First program in the Hazlet Pops series is July 13, presenting Patriotic American music at Veterans Park.

HAZLET, NJ — It's the third year of the Hazlet Pops performances, and its 2023 concert dates include an event July 13, presenting a "Patriotic American" theme.

Orchestra leaders and music instructors Ray Lahaye of the Raritan High School Marching Band and Tiffani Slattery of the Keyport School District will lead the Hazlet Pops community band in its new season.

The township invites everyone to enjoy four evenings of symphony music at sunset.

All concerts will be held 7 p.m. in Hazlet's Veterans Park, 1776 Union Ave. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

On March 21, 2021, Hazlet announced the formation of Hazlet Pops to perform four free public concerts outdoors, during the summer, at Hazlet parks.

The Hazlet Pops welcomes players with their own instruments from ninth grade and up. To sign-up, fill out a brief application.
