Elected to the two-year unexpired term is Peter Terranova, who also is to have the oath of office administered by Kiley.

Preston was appointed to the committee in April to complete the term vacated by Scott Aagre. Cavuto was running for the seat to be vacated by Glackin, who did not seek re-election after serving two terms.

But at its Dec. 6 meeting, the Township Committee announced that Glackin, whose term ended Dec. 31 of 2022, will continue his service to the board for an additional year to fill the vacancy left by James "Skip" McKay's recent departure.

Preston and Cavuto defeated Democratic candidates Danielle Roth and David Personette.

Terranova, who was appointed to the committee earlier in 2022 to replace former Mayor Tara Clark, defeated Democratic candidate Lucille Lo Sapio for the unexpired term.

The committee will also elect a mayor and deputy mayor from the body. Mayor Mike Sachs served as mayor since March of 2022 after Clark's resignation and served as mayor and deputy mayor previously in the course of many years of service on the committee.

The reorganization meeting will appoint various township professionals and set the calendar for the coming year, as well as make appointments to various boards in the township.

The committee will appoint James Gorman as township attorney for a one-year term. See the full list of appointees here, and salaries where provided.
