Hazlet School District to Host Parents' Forum on Dealing with Traumatic Loss
In the wake of the unexpected death of an eighth grader at Hazlet Middle School, the district will be hosting a family wellness forum.

Hazlet parents are encouraged to attend a family wellness forum Tuesday night that will discuss how to promote healing and resiliency in the aftermath of a traumatic loss, whether it be due to accident, illness, suicide or homicide, according to a post on the district's Facebook page.
The forum, sponsored by the Hazlet Township Public School District and the Traumatic Loss Coalition for Youth, will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 14 in the Holy Family School Auditorium on Stone Road in Hazlet.
The Monmouth County Coordinator for the Traumatic Loss Coalition, George Scott, EdS, LMFT, will lead the forum.
