Throughout the service, attendees were also able to view Veteran banners on display as part of the town's Honor Hazlet Heroes Project.
The project looks to decorate Veterans Park with patriotic banners honoring the Township men and women actively serving in the military, who have served honorably, or who have given their lives in service.
Each banner states the name of the individual and years served in their branch of the military.
In 2024, 203 banners were on display in the park. The banners remain up from Memorial Day to Veterans Day.
“They [the veterans] are all members of the Hazlet family, past and present,” Township officials said. “And we are proud to salute them.”
Veterans Park is located at 1776 Union Ave., Hazlet.
