After Holmdel House Fire, Hillcrest Road Closed For Hours
The fire has been put out, but Hillcrest Road will remain closed for at least the next four hours, police said.
HOLMDEL, NJ — A fire broke out early morning on Monday in a single-family home on Hillcrest Road, according to the Holmdel Police Department.
After the flames were put out Hillcrest Road remained closed between Holmdel Road and Bethany Road for hours.
The residents and their pet were able to safely escape from the house, according to Asbury Park Press.

When one of the officers got to the house he saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the back of the house, police told the publication.
The fire was reported at around 7:37 a.m.

A detour was put in place while the road is closed. Drivers were able to get access to Saint Benedict’s School from Bethany Road and Growing Tree Pre-School from Holmdel Road.
