Holmdel Fire Co. 2 Encourages Safety Ahead Of Fire Prevention Week

HOLMDEL, NJ — Holmdel Fire and Rescue Co. #2 is encouraging safety ahead of this year’s Fire Prevention Week.

From Oct. 6 through Oct. 12, the National Fire Prevention Association aims to educate people on the importance of having working smoke alarms in their homes.

Safety tips from the association include installing smoke alarms in each bedroom and level of your home, and making sure smoke alarms meet the needs of all family members.

This year’s theme for Fire Prevention Week is “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!”

To help educate residents about fire safety, Holmdel Fire and Rescue Co. #2 will be hosting an open house on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

At the open house, attendees will be able to enjoy fire station tours, live demonstrations, kids activities, firefighter meet and greets, and more.

Holmdel Fire and Rescue Co. #2 is located at 12 Crawfords Corner Rd, Holmdel.
