Holmdel Holiday Events: Drive-Thru Lights, Letters To Santa, More
Get in the spirit of the holidays by checking out some of these local events, including a drive-through holiday lights experience.
HOLMDEL, NJ — Holiday season is here and Holmdel residents can look forward to festive events in the upcoming weeks.
Here is a list of some holiday events in town:
Until Dec. 15 - Toys For Tots
The Township is once again holding a toy drive for the holidays. Residents can bring new, unwrapped toys to Townhall and drop them off at the Police Department loby.

Through Jan. 2 - Magic of Lights: Drive-Though Holiday Lights
This drive-through holiday lights experience features holiday scenes and characters of the season using LED technology and digital animations. Prices vary depending on the day of the week and type of vehicle. They are available here.
Until Dec. 15 - Letters to Santa
The Holmdel Township Recreation Department will be forwarding letters addressed to Santa. They should be postmarked until Dec. 15 and include the sender's full name and address. No postage is necessary. Santa's mailbox will be located outside of Town Hall.

Dec. 9, 16 - William R. Satz School Winter Concert
The William R. Satz School Band, Chorus and Jazz Band will put on two winter concerts on Dec. 9 and 16.
Friday through Sunday - Ryan's Disney Light Projection Show
6 p.m.
Over in Hazlet, 18-year-old Ryan Basile put together with his family a 20-minute show projecting Disney images onto the house, while lights flash to the beat of the music. The family welcomes neighbors who want to see the show from the cul-de-sac. See more details here.
Christmas Tree Collection
Looking ahead to the end of the season, here are the Christmas Tree Collection times:
Section A and B - Week of Jan. 10
Sections C and D - Week of Jan. 17
Final chance (all sections) - Week of Jan 24
Saturday until Dec. 18 - Christmas Lantern Tours
4:30 to 8:15 p.m.
You can spend the evening walking around the Historic Village at Allaire, not far from Holmdel. The tour is inspired by the 1800s, with a candlelit lantern. For more information click here.
Sunday until Dec. 19 - Christmas at Allaire
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will be a celebration of the traditions of Christmas past. For more information click here.
