Holmdel Jet Ski Burglary Suspect Nabbed Months Later

After an investigation that led police to multiple states, a 20-year-old man from Philadelphia was identified as a suspect.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A 20-year-old-man was arrested months after a $21,000 jet ski was stolen from a Holmdel house, according to the Holmdel Township Police Department.

Anthony Jimenez-Minaya, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged with theft.

On July 12, a township resident reported that a Sea-Doo personal watercraft and trailer had been taken from their home.

A police investigation led Det. Sgt. William Bernard and Ptlm. John Maguire to multiple states, as well as locations all over New Jersey.

They were able to eventually identify a suspect in the case.

Jimenez-Minaya was processed and released on a summons pending a court appearance.

Police said that he retained an attorney and that they are not answering any questions about why he was in Holmdel or where the watercraft wound up.
