Holmdel Police Seek Juvenile Suspect In Vehicle Theft Saturday
Two girls, 13, from Neptune were arrested in Holmdel Saturday morning in connection with a vehicle theft; male, 13, was still at large.

HOLMDEL, NJ - Holmdel police were still seeking a juvenile suspect who fled from authorities in connection with a vehicle theft early Saturday morning.
Two juvenile girls, 13, of Neptune were arrested in connection with the vehicle theft at around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Laurel Avenue and Middle Road, where the stolen car also crashed.

One juvenile, a 13-year-old male who was a passenger, remained at large as of Saturday night, according to a Police Department social media post.
“After an extensive search of the area, including a K9 track and the construction site, the suspect was not found,” Holmdel police said in a statement early Saturday. “He was last seen running behind the plaza at the intersection of Middle Road and Laurel Avenue.”

The suspect is described as a 13-year-old boy with a white hoodie. He was also missing both shoes, police said.
“While we still have officers in the area, we advise everyone to keep their cars and homes locked,” police said Saturday morning.
There were no reported weapons at the scene, and police said the suspect who fled was not a threat.
