HOLMDEL, NJ — In response to a potentially threatening TikTok challenge that has been spreading across the country, the Holmdel Police Department said they were on alert, although none of the schools in the district were directly targeted.

"Out of an abundance of caution, we will have an increased police presence at all schools," police said.

The challenge encouraged students to threaten gun violence at school on Dec. 17.
