HOLMDEL, NJ — Holmdel Township has rescheduled its next Township Committee meeting to take place on Friday, Township Clerk Wendy Patrovich announced Tuesday afternoon.

The meeting, which was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., will now take place on Friday at 10 a.m.

In an email sent to Patch, Town Public Information Officer Brian O’Malley said the meeting was rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, including "pre-planned absences for scheduled vacations and a last-minute personal conflict."

Because of these absences, O’Malley said the town lacked the necessary quorum for the original committee meeting on Tuesday.

Since the town had existing plans for a special meeting Friday morning to discuss the town’s Housing Element & Fair Share Plan (adopted by the Planning Board), O’Malley said the committee decided to combine the special meeting with the rescheduled committee meeting.

According to O'Malley, this will allow the Township Committee to address both agendas in one session.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” O’Malley said.
