Holmdel's Bayonet Farm Will Host 5K Run On Oct. 24
Runners will go through the wooded trails around the farm in a lollipop-shaped loop with rugged terrain.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Bayonet Farm will be the site of the upcoming 5K trail run in Holmdel, at 9 a.m. on Oct. 24.
Runners will go through the wooded trails around the farm in a lollipop-shaped loop with rugged terrain and some more steep and challenging parts.
The path of the trail will be marked by orange ribbons and volunteers will be stationed at certain junctions on the loop. There will only be one water station by the Ramenessin Brook Bridge.

Awards will be given out to the top finishers of the overall run and by age and gender groups.
Before the 5K, there will be a shorter run for kids starting at 8:15 a.m. It will be just under a mile, heading out on the red trail and quickly looping back to the farm.

Afterwards participants can head over to the big red barn, where there will be music, food and drinks for sale from local businesses.
Profits from the run will be put towards the upkeep of the park's trail network.
