Over 1,000 Without Power after Short Afternoon Storm

It may not have lasted long, but this afternoon's thunderstorm was enough to knock out power for hundreds in Holmdel and Hazlet.

JCP&L is reporting 1,000 outages in Hazlet and over 50 outages in Holmdel. According to the outage map, crews are still assessing a restoration time.

Outages are apparent throughout Monmouth County, but JCP&L is reporting no outages are as concentrated as in Hazlet.
