Icy Roads In Holmdel, Hazlet Prompt Caution Warnings
Drivers are advised to slow down to prevent any accidents while the roads are icy.
HOLMDEL, NJ — Holmdel and Hazlet residents were warned to take caution as low temperatures lead to icy conditions on Wednesday morning.
Drivers were advised to slow down to prevent any accidents while the roads are icy.
In Hazlet, police got multiple first-aid calls for residents that slipped on their front stairs and driveways which were iced over.

"We would like to commend the Hazlet Department of Public Works who have been out all morning doing a great job salting Township roads," police said.
The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management issued a warning because of black ice.

"Freezing rain is moving out but icy conditions are likely to continue in places for a while this morning before temperatures rise above freezing," the National Weather Service wrote on social media. "Please use extra caution this morning!"
In the Freehold area, icy roads have led to multiple crashes, the Freehold Fire Department said on Wednesday morning.
