June Crime Cut in Half in Hazlet, Rose in Holmdel
The Uniform Crime Report is released monthly, comparing each month to its counterpart in the previous year.

Crime in June was down by 50 percent in Hazlet Township compared to June of last year, according to the Uniform Crime Report. In Holmdel, total crimes rose 52 percent.
The report cites in June of 2012, there were 19 incidences of larceny in Hazlet. This June, there eight. Hazlet also reported no burglary attempts this June, and one robbery. In total, Hazlet Police reported 15 criminal situations in June compared to last year's 30.
June in Holmdel brought 26 criminal reports compared to last June's 17 reports. There were 22 larceny incidents this year. In June of 2013, Holmdel police reported 10 larceny incidents. There were also two car burglaries this June while there were none in June of 2012.
Simple assault was done to zero reports in Holmdel, last June there were four incidents.
