Kendall Valentin, Zess Zientek Honored for Great Seasons

It was a year of great honors and awards for the Holmdel High School gymnastics team.

Nj.com recently honored two Holmdel athletes.

Kendall Valentin was named the web site’s Gymnast of the Year for 2013. Kendall has earned All-State Honors every one of her four seasons as a gymnast at the high school, three Shore Conference titles and two Central Jersey sectional all-around titles before winning her first all-around state title in November. Nj.com also made the senior a member of its first team All-State line up.

Joining her on that all state team is freshman Tess Zientek. Tess helped the Holmdel team make its first appearance at the NJSIAA finals in 11 years. She placed fourth overall in the state and took first on the beam.

Congratulations girls. You both had great seasons.
