Knife Under the Seat Leads to Arrest in Hazlet

A routine traffic stop allegedly revealed a switchblade under a driver's seat.

A lot of people keep knives under their front seat, right?

Hazlet police arrested Wilford Nusser Jr., 61, of Maryland on Sunday after a routine traffic stop revealed Jones was allegedly concealing a switchblade under his car seat.

According to an arrest record, Nusser could not explain to officers why the knife was there. Nusser said he was in New Jersey to buy a car.

The Maryland man was previously convicted of aggravated assault and arson, according to police.
